Art Deco Living Room

This residential project focuses on reimagining the living room of a home in Finchley.
Design / Define
The brief was to create a modern, welcoming and cosy living room filled with natural light and subtle pops of colour, while preserving the home’s original period features. The space was reconfigured to improve flow and support both relaxing and entertaining. A bespoke TV unit and library were designed to introduce storage and architectural presence, forming a cohesive feature wall alongside the fireplace. The fireplace itself was colour-drenched to soften its dominance, while the original blue glazed tiles were carefully restored to reveal their character.
Create / Deliver
Layered moments were introduced throughout the room, including a reading corner by the fire with sculptural lighting and curated seating. Vintage 1930s pieces were incorporated to honour the Art Deco spirit, while softer textures—linen upholstery, layered cushions and a seagrass rug—bring warmth and balance to the sharper lines of metal and leather. The result is a calm, elegant living room with depth, comfort and personality.
